The NESGC Regional Geriatric Implementation Team works collaboratively with local health service providers and recipients in each sub-region to support implementation of best practice standards in in the care for older adults with frailty in the north east.

The team works interdependently with NESGC's leadership team and local clinical services.

Administrative Director

The Administrative Director provides strategic support and direction to the Regional Geriatric Implementation team. At a regional and local level priorities are identified, project planning approved and collaborative partnership identified, supported and sustained. 

Shaen Gingrich
Regional Geriatric Knowledge Translator

The Regional Geriatric Knowledge Translator leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive knowledge mobilization strategy that identifies and addresses gaps in Geriatric Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine best practice. This role also supports the NESGC partnership with Baycrest to deliver the Care of the Elderly Project ECHO.

Dana Corsi
Regional Geriatric Rehab Lead

The Regional Geriatric Rehab Lead leads the development of quality rehabilitative care for older adults. This is accomplished by working collaboratively with hospitals, home and community care services, primary care and OHT’s.

Senior Friendly Care

Senior Friendly Care Leads are responsible for:  

• Providing clinical and quality improvement support to local communities to identify gaps and implement the regional and provincial evidence best practice standards for care of frail older adults.
• Partnerships with local organizations to work collaboratively to improve the system and health outcomes for older adults across the continuum of care in the Northeast.
